On International Theatre's Day, March 27th annual Estonian theatre awards were announced in Rakvere theatre. Jevgeni Grib won the balletprize for his shortballet "Keep a light in the window" (Estonian National Ballet) and Rufina Noor was awarded with a prize named after Anna Ekston for her long-lasting and productive contribution to the Vanemuine ballet.
Grib has made history - no-one has ever recieved the balletprize for two years in a row and in different roles, in 2018 as a dancer (for the roles Alan ("A Streetcar Named Desire") and Hilarion ("Giselle") with Estonian National Ballet) and in 2019 as a choreographer.
Rufina Noor, former ballet-soloist with Vanemuine ballet, a long-term teacher and repetituer who has succesfully advanced the company's professional level turned 70 in the beginning of the year.
